Stan, an Alocasia Macrorrhiza Stingray, is definitely a show stopper - the unique shape of his wings and tail resembles that of, yes you guessed it, a stingray!
It’s not just Stan's leaves that draw the eye, his stems have beautiful dappled colouring ranging from creamy-whites to black.
If Stan is happy, he can grow as tall as 1.5m, so it’s safe to say he’s a centrepiece!
Stan, Alocasia Stingray - Medium
Stan prefers bright indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight however would be welcomed.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
