Camila, a Sansevieria Cylindrica, are minimalist plants with their smooth, round, spear-like foliage. Don't worry though, she's a bit showy with her striking grey-green variegation adding to her kerb appeal as a fantastic plant for any contemporary home.

Just like her cousins, she's as tough as they come and will survive almost anything you throw at her. She grows primarily across Africa, which means she's used to both hot and dry conditions.

To deal with the hottest temperatures during the day they actually close their pores stopping any water loss by evaporation. Then, at night when the temperature drops all of its pores open up releasing all the oxygen they've been holding onto - that's why they're such great air purifyers.

  • Camila can cope with any light conditions you throw at her, ranging from bright sunlight all the way down to shady corners.

If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:

    • Minimal shadow = lower light
    • Half shadow = indirect light
    • Full shadow = direct sun

Plant care basics

Place your plants in a spot where they'll thrive & not just where they'll look good - you won't regret it!

Stick your finger 2 inches into your plants soil, and if it's dry give it a drink - if not, hold off on the water.

Plants get hungry too! In spring & summer feed your plants every 2-4 weeks! Back off during Autumn & Winter.
