Lucinda, a Philodendron Micans Lemon & Lime or Philodendron Hederaceum Lemon & Lime, is a harder to come by member of the Philodendron family with chartreuse-yellow, heart-shaped leaves cascading in a flowing vine. Think of Manny, our Philodendron Micans, crossed with a tennis ball.
Native to the Caribbean and Mexico, Lucinda belongs to the Araceae family which believe it or not includes the likes of Wallace, our Monstera Deliciosa, and Clarence, our Anthurium Clarinervium!
Lucinda, Philodendron Micans Lemon & Lime
Lucinda prefers indirect light to partial shade, without prolonged exposure to direct sun - a touch of morning sunlight wouldn’t go a miss.
If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
