Chris, a Christmas Cactus or Schlumbergera, is most likely the second festive plant you think of after a Christmas Tree, and rightly so, because they flower from November through to late January, giving you a wonderful Christmas display or gift.
Despite the fact Chris is synonymous with Christmas, he's actually native to coastal mountains of south-eastern Brazil, where he'll grow on trees or rocks in habitats that are generally shady with high humidity.
Please be aware, flower colour may vary.
Chris, Christmas Cactus - Small
Chris prefers bright to medium indirect light. If you’re not sure what level of light you have, check the shadows cast by your plant:
- Minimal shadow = lower light
- Half shadow = indirect light
- Full shadow = direct sun
